The hotel’s building was renovated in the 1930s and then in 2006 with an adaptation for Ukreximbank’s affiliate (they even say that the house was rebuilt in similar forms to the old one).

Lesja Ukrainka and her mother lived at this hotel from January 20 to 24 (February 1 – 5), 1891 on the way from Lutsk to Vienna. During this visit, they became acquainted with the Ukrainian figures of Lviv – N. Kobrynska, V. Shukhevych, M. Pavlik, I. Franko, and the Ozarkievych family.
