On January 18 (30), 1899, Lesja Ukrainka visited this theater and watched G. Hauptman’s play "Fuhrmann Henschel".

For the second time she visited this theater on June 13 (25), 1899, watching G. Hauptman’s play "The Flooded Bell" ("Versunkte Glocke").
