Procession at the street

Funeral procession of Lesja Ukrainka at the street. Kyiv, July 26 (August 8) 1913.

At the one-story building can be disassembled inscription: "Milk K.K. Kedo". This gives hope that will determine place of shooting with help of guides Kyiv in 1913.

Our reader Valery Kryukov (on March 2, 2021) suggested that the photo was taken on the street Bezakivska (Petliura) before the turn of the procession on the street Mariinsko-Blagoveshchenska (Saksagansky). And indeed, the fragment of the three-story house on the left is quite similar to the surviving house, today / Saksagansky str., 135. If so, in place of one-story houses now stands a large house on the street. Petliura № 15. In addition, we see tram tracks on the street and a slight rise of the street from the right edge to the left. The shooting point is the 2nd floor of the house with a modern address / Saksagansky str., 137.
